The idea of PPCA seems to have scared the Fitness Industry to the point that real music has become sadly obsolete!!! Most spin classes, boxing classes, all Les Mills and most Zumba classes will now be PPCA free - meaning the music will have to be reproduced! So no more real music! Currently, no real music can be played in ANY Fitness First gym and countless other centres. You can't even turn your ipod on in a PPCA free gym!
However, The Jungle Body sees this as an amazing opportunity, to have one of the few dance fitness classes that use REAL music in Australia. Yes, it means that Instructors may be paying a fee, but this is simply an investment in an amazing, unique and addictive class.
In terms of how it affects The Jungle Body:
Konga and Tyga MUST use real music - that is the beauty of these dance based classes!
Jagua and Vypa can use real music, but MAY use PPCA free music!
I couldn't be prouder that The Jungle Body supports PPCA, recording artists and REAL music. Of course the price rise is beyond ridiculous, but it is a cost the industry must absorb and work with PPCA on improving the situation, rather than fighting it.
Long live REAL music!
