The Jungle Body offers Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30310) with Group Fitness Specialisation (SISFFIT309A) for Jungle Body “Konga” Instructors. This provides you with the skills and knowledge to register and work as an exercise /group fitness instructor in gyms, fitness facilities, pools, community facilities and in outdoor environments.
There are two parts to The Jungle Body “Certificate III in Fitness with Group Fitness Specialisation”.
Part 1 – Konga Instructor Course (either Online or Face to Face)
Part 2 – Online Assessments (Core/Steam/Elective Units)
The Online Assessments are done completely online in the comfort of your own home. They can take anywhere from a week to a month to complete. Therefore, once you have done our Konga Instructor Course (either Online or Face to Face) you simply need to do the Online Assessments. This also means current Jungle Body Konga Instructors just need to complete the Online Assessments to receive their Certificate III.
What is Certificate III in Fitness with Group Fitness Specialisation?
It provides you with the skills and knowledge to register and work as an exercise instructor in gyms, fitness facilities, pools, community facilities and in outdoor environments. The Group Fitness Specialisation will allow you to also work as a Group Fitness Instructor. The Course describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge to plan and instruct group exercise session to music. It focuses on the planning, selection, sequencing and progression of exercises and appropriate music, and instructing and monitoring client to ensure safe conduct of activities.
Do I need to have my Certificate III to teach Jungle Body Classes?
To teach Jungle Body Fitness Classes, you do not necessarily need to be a Certified Fitness Instructor, but the qualification will allow you to obtain Fitness Instructor Insurance, CEC Points and greater employment opportunities. We strongly encourage all of our Instructors to become a Certified Fitness Instructor.
Is the Jungle body legally and officially able to offer this Course?
The Jungle Body is officially associated with TTS-100 The Training Solution a registered “RTO” 51951 to provide National Accredited Fitness related training and assessment. Not to mention, all Jungle Body Course Trainers are Certified Trainer and Assesors. All Training materials meet the newly endorsed Recreational and Fitness Training Package and have been developed specifically for The Jungle Body therefore you can be assured that your knowledge will be tailored to exactly what you need to know as a Fitness Instructor.
How do I get Started?
- Fill out student TTS-100 Application Form

- One payment has been made successfully; you will be emailed you a LOG-IN code and details of your Mentor.
- You can begin completing the Online Assessments, which can take anywhere from 1 week to 3 months, depending on how efficiently you work. You have a maximum of 3 months to complete it.
- Once all course units have been completed and you have succesfull completed your Konga Instructor Course you will receive your Certificate of Completion.
What is the price?
- Certificate III in Fitness with Group Fitness Specialisation (For existing Instructors who have done the Konga Course) - $1300(GST INC)
- Certificate III in Fitness with Group Fitness Specialisation for NON-Konga Instructors - $1450
Are there any Perquisites?
There are no prerequisite requirements. However, to recieve your Certificate III you must have your Senior First Aid Certificate.
What career opportunities are there with Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30310) with Group Fitness Specialisation (SISFFIT309A)?
Career opportunities abound from the largest health clubs to the smallest community halls, or perhaps instruct at a holiday resort!
I have not studied for years – will I be able to cope?
Absolutely! Many students feel like this when they start, but the course is easy to understand and fun to work through. Plus each person is given a Mentor, who is someone who will help you get through the Course and is there to ensure you are on track.
How sophisticated does my computer have to be?
You should have access to a computer equipped with at least 16 megs of RAM, be on the Internet, and have a java-enabled browser. For our on-line courses we recommend you use Firefox Mozilla. If you have Firefox, you may not be able to see all PDF files posted. In such situation you need to install Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.
Do I have to pay for my course up front?
Yes. All Courses need to be paid in full, upfront.
How do I make Payment?
We prefer payment be made into our Wespac Banking Account by EFT or Paypal. On your enrolment and confirmation you will be sent an invoice with all the necessary details on how and where to transfer your payment funds.
Is the courses nationally recognised?
